LGBTQ & Teens
Therapy for working teens within the LGBTQ community involves a nuanced and inclusive approach that acknowledges the intersectionality of their identities. Cultivating a safe and affirming therapeutic environment is paramount, where individuals can openly explore the complexities of their experiences. Addressing the challenges specific to working teens, such as navigating school, employment, and societal expectations, requires a tailored approach. I strive to understand and validate the unique aspects of their identity, offering support in areas like self-discovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies. The therapeutic process aims to empower these young individuals, fostering a sense of self-acceptance and assisting them in navigating the intersection of their work life and LGBTQ identity with confidence and authenticity. Everyone deserves respect, understanding, and acceptance. I tailor my practice to include diversity and inclusion to create a space for teens to express their authentic selves without fear of judgment. From identity exploration to navigating coming out, building resilience, and managing mental health difficulties, I am here to guide and empower teens through these important phases of life.
